The Race

Bismillah,

Life isn't about how we started our race, but how we went on the finishing line.

A child grows into adult, eventually
An adult grows old, finally
A non-hijabi might not be forever a non-hijabi
A not-yet Muslim too, might not be a not-yet Muslim forever
You started here, but might end up somewhere else.

You started to be a devoted Muslim, but without preserving the imaan, you'll be nowhere.
Ke arah khusnul khatimah!

Jumuah Mubarakah minna san! ;)

Generations after Generations

Bismillah,

Pertemuan
Perpisahan.

Another aspect of life which Allah has created to have it own mates. They come together in a package, in a parcel of life which we human will eventually experience. Sad, emptiness and all kind of feelings. Yet, we can never make the time stops to avoid and to run from the fact that these people are leaving us. Yet they never leave us empty-handed, they make stains in our memory book, they favor our change, our mentality, they teach us what life is all about. Two years. No generations came in between. It was just us. The small community. The love we share, the joy and sorrow we bear. The tarbiyyah and biah we established. And all, the list goes on and on. Countless.

So long seniors, thank you for being very helpful, motivating etc seniors. You guys are all awesome and we will be a happy family forever biiznillah ;)

Sending kak wani off. Then, Husna and Ikhwan. I was carrying kak wani's hand carry as if I am the one who is going off that day!

Sent kak Esfa n Hazrul n kids off yesterday. Banyak betul barang mereka, tapi lagi banyak ilmu yang mereka tinggalkan pada kami semua, memang investment betul ;)

Kak Esfa n Hazrul (now Dr Hazrul) n family, thanks all ;) Indeed, Allah has amazing plans! Me not going into either Michigan Ann Arbor or Wisconsin Madison for reasons. Tucson's heat for reasons too! What doesn't kill me makes me stronger oh yeah! And insyaAllah izzati will continue the legacy, to take good care of the adik-adik and the tarbiyyah too! Oh Allah gimme strength! Ameen ya Rabb ;)

Ada jodoh kita bertemu lagi all, semoga terus cemerlang and sentiasa dalam redhaNya.

Ukhuwwah yg takkan putus walau beribu-ribu batu jauhnya
Perjuangan yang takkan lenyap walau beribu-ribu tahun cubaannya

I'm sorry

Bismillah,

Emo-emo.
I'm so sorry, asif jiddan pakcik butcher.
"Chicken breast for 2 lbs please" smiled.

He then took all the chicken breast left and weight, 3lbs and that's really a lot. I am going to cook this for another week before going to field camp and this would be a waste if I just gonna keep in in my fridge for one month.

"Can you reduce the amount please?"
"what? you mean cut?"

=.='
"la, la " (tetiba otak blank, tak boleh find any Arab vocabs)
Astaghfirullahal'azim.

Another pakcik with better English muncul.

"He wants to give you discount, you only have to pay for the 2 lbs"
Aigo, bukan fasal duit la pakcik, ni fasal habis tak habis ni. Jangan tamak ye izzati. He can actually give it to other people who will be needing it.

Last-last pakcik tu macam merajuk dan keluarkan separuh, baru dapat betul betul 2lbs. Maaf ye pakcik, memang saya pengunjung setia kedai anda, tapi saya tak perlukan lebih daripada apa yang saya nak beli tu. Hak orang lain ;)

Semoga Allah merahmati dan membalas jasa pakcik atas niat baik pakcik ini :)

Allahu'alam

Salsa or Acar?

Bismillah,

Creative, creative and innovative! =)

Does this usually happens to you?
When you check your fridge, you suddenly realized that you are running out of rations!

Yes, it does happen. That's why you have to be creative, use whatever you have to keep survive, to stop your stomach from dancing just like the Girls' generation. hehe. enough with merepek.

Today's sharing is Acar ala Tucson. Mexican probably call this salsa or whatever.

I don't care about plating, masuk sinki basuh pinggan sama je  haha

You'll need:
1. 2 Tomatoes
2. 1 Cucumber
3. 2 Red onions
4. Lemon juice
5. Salt
6. Cilantro
or whatever you can find on your fridge!

Cut the tomatoes, cucumber and red onions into small cubes preferably 2mm cubic (impossible!). Then mix them well, add lemon juice salt and cilantro. Add more salt and lemon juice if you like it to be more salty and sour (which will cost you darah tinggi in your young age).

I usually make this along with ayam masak merah or ikan bakar. You can also try this as your meal side for any other courses.

Selamat mencuba!

*Try at your own risk! hehe

As-salam!
